About Me

Paul Synnott, Husband, Father, Businessman, Executive Coach & Thought Provoker

I am an executive coach, leadership development practitioner and business leader with a strong interest in what makes people, leaders and organisations perform at their best.

My work focuses on helping executives, emerging leaders and professionals develop greater clarity, confidence and effectiveness in their roles. Drawing on extensive business and coaching experience, I believe that I bring a practical and commercially grounded perspective to leadership development, combining established management thinking with the realities of leading people and delivering results in today’s organisations.

“Identifying problems can be a solo sport, but finding solutions rarely is”

– Frances Frei –

A central theme of my work is that effective leadership is about more than simply knowing what to do – it is also about understanding how to be. My approach encourages people to take greater ownership of their development, recognise the value they bring and become more deliberate in how they lead, communicate and influence others.

I am also a writer on leadership, careers, personal development and organisational life, with a particular interest in turning complex ideas into practical insights that people can apply in their everyday working lives.

  • I hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School, University of Reading, where I specialised in Organisational Climate and Leadership Behaviour.
  • I hold a professional diploma in executive coaching from the Irish Management Institute (IMI) in conjunction with University College Cork (UCC).
  • I am a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) where I hold EMCC individual accreditation at Senior Practitioner level.
  • I am a certified practitioner in the Emotional Capital Report (ECR Self and ECR 360) emotional intelligence assessment tools) for leadership development from RocheMartin, one of the most trusted names in emotional intelligence, mindfulness and leadership.
  • I am a practitioner of the Strengths-Profile assessment tool from Cappfinity, a leading company in the field of applied positive psychology.

As an EMCC Member I am bound by a Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors
